Hey all!
I’m just a doodly girl with lots of ideas – lol. I have been working on Homeberries.com since 2006. It started as a hobby and turned into a passion. I love to design and create patterns for hand embroidery and now machine embroidery ( thanks to my digitizing angel Stephanie ).
I am a stay at home mom, work at home mom, wife to one wonderful hubby, and mom extraordinaire to one sweet little boy. I’m a bit of a homebody. I love to curl up with a good book, movie, or needle and thread – usually while watching a movie – lol.
You may notice my style is still establishing itself as I’m inspired by new things around me. One day I might be very whimsical, the next day prim, and the next primsical- ROFL! I can’t help myself I love to experiment and grow. I hope you like it too.
Wow, Jennie, Your dream project has come to fruition. We discussed homeberries when we were still in NY. I love the website, colors and graphics, very cool and inviting. I still quilt, thanks to you, I have told the story of how I learn to quilt and I think I’m much better at it now
Your embroidery patterns are gorgeous, very clever to package them in themes.
I will check your site to see your new products and read your blog !
Thanks Jeni,
I owe a large part of Homeberries success to you, ya know. You were the one who got the idea in my head to start up on the Internet way back in 2000. I have to admit it’s a lot easier now with all of the tools that are out there, but I wouldn’t have the guts to do it had you not pushed me.
It’s good to hear from you again.
Jennie
I am so excited about your book. I just placed my order. I called 6 stores and no one had it in yet and I couldn’t wait. I have been stitching from your free patterns and wanted to know if I am suppose to put your copyright on all of my stitcheries. I really enjoy doing them. My daughters and I are trying to get into the crafting business and would appreciate any advice you could give us. Does anyone ever send you photos of the work they have done from your stitchery patterns. I would appreciate any info. Love your work, Thanks Kathy
Hi, your patterns are sooo cute !
I was wondering if it is okay to sell items embroidered with your designs ?
Thanks in advance !
Thank you Monika,
As far as selling my designs I don’t know what Leisure Arts terms of use are for the patterns in the book, you’ll have to check with them.
My patterns that I sell on Homeberries have a limit of 20 items for sale.. all the details are in the “terms of use” page given with each order. My free patterns terms of use are as follows
“These Free Copyrighted Patterns are for personal use only. You may use them to make items for gifts or hand
crafted items to sell in under 50 quantities. They are not to be used in Graphics design or Printed in any manner
for resale or profit by anyone other than Homeberries.com . All rights reserved. No mass production allowed.”
You must also give credit to me for the designs. The whole thing with terms of use is to protect me from some big manufacturer stealing my designs. I really want to support the home crafter.
Thanks for asking,
Jennie Baer

Kathy,
I’m so glad you were able to get a copy. Yes I know not all of the stores have it yet. It was just released at the end of January.
Keep calling them and bug them to get it in though. If this book sells well then there will be another one! LOL
Please do give me credit when selling stuff with my designs on them. It can be as simple as “design created by Jennie Baer, http://www.homeberries.com“. Or if you’re selling online just put that info in the description of your product.
As far as advice… hmm… it really depends on what your looking for. If it’s website stuff I might be able to help you out a little, or at least tell you what I use. Other stuff just email me and ask me specifics and I’ll see if I can help.
